1.INTRODUCTION:-A newspaper is an important means of communication. It is a part and parcel of a modern man's life. It is history of day to today events of the world. It contains information on a variety of topics.

2.IT'S EDUCATIVE VALUE:-The newspaper has great educative value. The function of a newspaper is to circulate news. It acquaints up with latest intentions and discoveries. It formulates public opinion. The newspaper spreads the thoughts and ideas of thinkers throughout the world.

3.HELPS TRADE:-

The newspaper is of great help to the world of trade and commerce. They advertise their homes in the newspapers. It contains survey of markets all over the world.

4.FORMULATES PUBLIC OPINION:-

The newspaper offers a platform to the public to air their grievances and seek redress. They also raise a voice of protest against injustice done to them. The newspaper is an effective opinion in the hands of a government. It also helps to ascertain the views of the public on a particular issue.

5.CONCLUSION:-

Thus we find that a newspaper has great value or importance in the present day world. But we should not read each and every newspaper. We should be on guard against party journals and newspapers which usually give an interested version of an event to suit the interest of the party. We shall read the events from a newspaper and try to form our judgement.
