Social sciences are the theory and practical study of human society and human relations. Social sciences have their own scope and identity. For example, history economics geography sociology all have their own specialized study areas. Social science enables students to learn how to develop relationships with their material physical and social environment. 

Social sciences are concerned with the investigation of a diversity of human relations and pile up considerably more data than it is possible to include in serial studies. It means that social studies are based on social sciences. Social studies are the practical part of human affairs but social science is the theoretical part of human affairs.

Social science is the study that lays more emphasis on knowledge. Social sciences are the advanced studies of human society which are taught at high school higher secondary and college levels. It AIMS to find out new truths about relationships.

Thus we can say that social science is the scientific study of man and society. The subject includes all human affairs.

The nature of social science may be explained in the following manner-

Social science is the specific study. For example, geography has a special study area.
